Andrew Lawrence plays upright and electric bass in the Bay Area under the name Weasel Bleu.
After being accepted to Berklee College of Music in 2010, he went on to play with Riverdance composer Bill Whelan while establishing an understanding of many musical styles. He then went on to self-release an album in Boston before graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in 2014.
Upon returning home, he has gone on several tours and worked with west coast bands, including the Red Skunk Band, Get Married, and Italian classical singer Pasquale Esposito. Also working with community theatre groups in the area, he has performed over 25 different shows, including Lizzie, Memphis, Next to Normal, and Spring Awakening. He has also been involved in orchestral performances with South Valley Symphony and Cambrian Symphony, local institutions where volunteers continue the proud tradition of classical music for public enjoyment.
Currently working as a live performer, educator, and studio bassist in San Jose.
